Quiet CPU Cooler for an Overclocked i7 4770K?

Trying to sort through some options for OCing to 4.4 or maybe 4.6 with ambient temps of around 24°C (and a few higher in summer), looking for some advice on what would be adequate but also quiet with a budget of around £60. Anyway, here's what I was looking at, any other suggestions are welcome:

be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2 (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/be-qu...-for-intel-and)
Although, I hear the Pro 3 is out soon, so perhaps that one. My only problem with them is the size really, whether they'd fit in a Corsair Carbide Series 330R, also covering RAM slots.

be quiet! Dark Rock 2 (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/be-qu...silent-silentw)
Again, the 3 version is out soon, so also that one. Again, slight worries of whether it'll cover a RAM slot, but more importantly would it be adequate anyway?

    Noctua NH-U12S (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/noctu...0mm-nf-f12-fan)
Slightly louder than the Dark Rock 2, but covering RAM slots doesn't seem to be a problem.

    Corsair Hydro H60 (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsa...6-2011-am2-am3) with Noctua NF-F12 fan (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120mm...ling-fan-quiet)
The replacement fan would put me over budget by a bit, but could be worth it for the noise reduction.

Refurbished Corsair Hydro H80 (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsa...1-all-am2-am3-) with Noctua NF-F12 fans (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120mm...ling-fan-quiet)
Replacing both fans would again put me over budget, but could be worth it for noise reduction.

I'd advise to go for the refurbished H80, you're getting a lot of cooling for your money and the refurbished ones are usually just ones that customers have returned after not liking what they received in the post.

I don't see why you would want to replace the fans on the Corsair coolers? What gives you the impression they're loud?

Personally I'd go for the Noctua (if you don't mind the fugly fans!).
I don't know which reviews you've been looking at but it seems to trade blows pretty evenly with the DR Pro2, both on performance and noise, but is easier to install and more compatible.
Presumably you will be reusing this in future builds.

I can't agree more with Willzzz. I would always go with the Noctua just because of their reputation for making excellent coolers. (Also, I have always leaned towards Noctua anyway.)

Re: Quiet CPU Cooler for an Overclocked i7 4770K?

My intention wasn't to say that cooling was poor for the Be Quiet! coolers, but personally, I'd go with the the Corsair, the fact that's it out of the way in the case and also that it is the cheapest of the bunch while still holding up really well at cooling.

Also, by looking at this link: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/coo...pro-2-review/2 the Dark Rock Pro 2 is on par with the Corsair at medium fan speed but the H80 does flat out, beat the Be Quiet.

Re: Quiet CPU Cooler for an Overclocked i7 4770K?

But the H80 will be noisier. New fans may help but they also push the cost right up.

Unless you are really serious about investing money in water cooling and absolutely need the performance air coolers are just easier.

Water coolers are arguably more aesthetically pleasing, having the radiators hidden away, but that's it really.

Re: Quiet CPU Cooler for an Overclocked i7 4770K?

That's the OP's choice then, whether he wants to sacrifice some cooling for a quieter environment. Both are good coolers.
