There is also meant to be a Steamroller based Athlon II X4 860K which has already appeared on pre-order in the US.
Edit!!
OcUK have them on pre-order:

Interesting development, but £11 more gets you an FX6300 if you want speed, if you want low power & noise then you probably want the built in graphics. If you want uATX form factor then the current lack of decent boards might push you to the 860K, but otherwise I am struggling to see where I would want one.
In the OP,it seems an mATX motherboard is being used and remember OcUK might not be the cheapest for the X4 860K.
Looking at the IPC improvements I expect it will comfortably outperform the X4 760K(clockspeeds are more or less the same as the X4 860K) especially if any media encoding is done:

Any game which threads well, seems to show very big improvements in IPC too,and IIRC a number of the newest racing games do scale up to 4 threads at least.
I bought an A8 5600K thank you so much for the input guys! now onto a few boards, im going to have a look at google find out which chipsets are good and which are not. If anyone has suggestions then suggest away!
I have a £60 budget which is max for the board.
Scaryjim your welcome to it now if your interested as the build is currently pulled apart and it is just a board i use for tests really!
Thanks again guys no end of help here
If you're connecting it to a large TV I'd avoid cheap MSI motherboards. Mine works fine, but if I need to go into BIOS I have to disconnect HDMI and plug in via VGA port otherwise the picture is distorted.
If you're using a proper PC monitor any motherboard should be fine.
My cheap MSI board is good, by the way, it's just a minor annoyance because I use my TV as a monitor.

Hmm.Wonder if distortion is only for MSI AMD boards because I used several in the last two years running on IGP but nothing like that happened...
My guess is that to keep things on a budget compared to Gigabyte and Asus they employ cheaper BIOS graphics chips. I could be wrong, and their boards work well as a low cost alternative to the big two.
We have a PC with the FX-6300 and its a very powerful unit for the £80 it costs. Well worth the money, although it is prone to getting a bit hot so an aftermarket cooler is recommended
