    Get a new gpu and then wait and see what happens with the rest of the market in the mean time.

    Yes yes and more yes, I went to skylake and never regretted it.
    However it may be worth waiting to see how the pricing goes once Kabilake hits

    I'd wait until the AMD Zen to come out and see how that fares. For gaming you want more GPU power though. Faster CPU really doesn't make a lot of difference in 99% of games with the CPU you already have.
