    i5 6500 or i5 6600

    Hello,

The i5 6600 only seems to be around £10 or so more than the i5 6500 at the moment from reputable retailers.

Is the extra amount worth it for the minor bump in clock speed, or am I missing some other advance?

    Thanks.

The max turbo is 3.9GHz vs 3.6GHz, so 8.3% higher. At current prices, that's worth the extra £10.

On the other hand you'll never notice the difference between them so why spend more?

In thinking the turbo boost sounds like it'll be worth the difference in price.
