    AMD APU's

Anyone know or have heard anything about the new APU's being available, rather than being OEM only..
Got my server build ready bar the APU, I was looking at the 3400g but the 4600g has an extra pair of CPU cores which is probably worth waiting for...

Depending how much longer I have to wait that is...

Skinflint lists one vendor who claims to have them:

4650G Pro is a fair bit more than the 3400g though.

    Re: AMD APU's

We don't know if these APUs will go on older motherboards, unless you splashed out on an X570 board as those seem to be the only ones with 3400G and expected later APU support. Do you have the motherboard?

    Re: AMD APU's

I have an x570 board yes, with an updated BIOS...
As I said, I am just waiting for an APU to drop..
I'm coming from an i5-3470 so was aiming at the 3400g to start with, until the 4000 series was announced, the extra 2 cores if what I'm looking at rather than the actual GPU side of things as its going in a server so isnt needed...
