Wonder how we do it? Surreal? Maybe....

With my job I have to say its surreal - I fly all over the world, and get to meet some of the biggest influencers and have the most interesting conversations. Take last week - I heard at lunch time I was doing dinner with Richard Hay [This involved a dash to the airport and on a plane to Munich] from ATI (Vice President of Desktop Products) this guy has a $100Million budget a year and his role is Radeon - you use it - he has had interaction with it.

Richard used to work at AMD and was responsible for getting Taiwanese partners onboard and working with them on the new motherboards - the new sockets. Ever since the Intel ruling where AMD and Intel were not allowed to be pin to pin compatible. This guy is a heavy weight. It was interesting to hear his views on things. I will reveal more in up coming blog entries - but I have to say, I wish I could have written it.......

Anyhow, thats not the reason for this post. Recently I was lucky enough to sit down with Sapphires CEO - these guys are ATI's biggest partner - responsible for 34% of ATI's desktop sales. Its incredible. His views were totally different to what I was expecting, I have written them up and posted them here.
