    New Monitor - BenQ GW2450HM?

Im looking round at a new monitor to move up from my 21.5" Viewsonic VX2260WM (1920 x 1080) to a 23"/24" monitor IPS or equilvalent. Computer is mainly used for gaming and watching films/programs, I was looking at the the Dell U2412 but I can not justify the £210 cost to myself. So while looking around a bit more I found the Benq GW2450HM for £140. Seems bit of a bargin but struggling to find any other reviews or mention of it so I just want to check im not making a mistake with looking at getting one.

I have looked at the 23" dell U2312 as the U2311 is very niice and also the LG and AOC 23" IPS screens but they are all about same as the Benq. Any other suggestions of around the £170 mark are welcome.

    Here is the review:

There is a 27" version but at only 1920 x 1080 would that would be too stretched for the size?

    Thanks

Monitors are very subjective things Cheapy the best thing you can do is to try and find a shop that stocks them and have a play with them.

TFT Central is a great review site and I usually check out the reviews there when I am looking for a new monitor.

Like you I (recently) was looking for a new monitor and was really looking into IPS screens but I couldn't justify spending over £160. In the end I went for a Ilyama Prolite E2473HDS which meets my needs of Gaming (online + offline), Movie watching and Browsing.

    Here's a review below:

It does look quite good for a TN panel. Thanks ill look more into the Ilyama.

That is the problem though trying to find places that stock the monitor you want to look at is almost impossible.
