Monitor 'elevation'

When i sit at my desk i can get alot of neck problems cause its so low. Is there anything that elevates your monitor so you're looking up? I use books as a stand temporarily but it looks like complete crap, i'd want something more professional looking but i cant seem to find anything suitable online, dont really know what to search for

Vesa monitor arm, or a monitor which extends vertically from the stand?

Could be your whole positioning, nut just the monitor. I think the bodies natural positioning is to have you looking slightly down on the monitor, kind of like how you would look at paper you were writing on.

You should be able to find guidance on how you should be sitting and how your body should be positioned. Or you could stand, that's the cool new way of doing it

I have a 4' x 9" shelf mounted in Ikea Ekby Tore brackets which clamp to the back edge of the desk and lift the monitors by 9" leaving my desk completely clear. Clear that is apart from the paperwork that is piled on it and so high on the shelf I cannot see the power lights on the monitors If you choose to do this I recommend a bracket every foot or so, particularly if you like gaming.

Another DIY (or "custom" if you get somebody else to do it for you) solution is a shelf mounted on short legs, like those used under kitchen units and standing on the desk.
