    Decent 4K monitor?

I've been looking at the P2715Q and its very tempting.

    Any experiences or alternatives?

    Re: Decent 4K monitor?

I'm also looking at this, I think realistically for the price the only alternative I have considered is the Asus pb287q, which is better for gaming with it's TN panel and good response times.

Depends what you will be using it for I suppose, and if image quality is more important than price/response times.

    Re: Decent 4K monitor?

I've just put an order in for an Acer S277HK.

The stand has been getting a ton of flack, but I quite like it. I went through Amazon for £439 - I'm hoping it lives up to its reviews.

    Re: Decent 4K monitor?

Get the P2715Q its the best bang for your buck. i have two and i love them.

It really boils down to the IPS for me, i prefer the better colour reproduction in my games then a barely noticeable few ms delay.

Did i mention it comes with a 3 year warranty? by the way do note that the warranty starts from when the supplier purchased the units from dell and not when you purchase it which is a caveat.

I believe Dell have a superior guarantee with any stuck pixels too. As little as just one apparently.
My S277HK arrived. Very happy with the whole quality. Just need the gaming rig to go with it now.

Ah! I lied! Had a proper play around with it, and look what I come across. Never seen a monitor with this sort of light bleed.

Yes, an S277HK. I've had a replacement, it's still not perfect, but no way near as bad.

I can't recommend the P2715Q series enough either. If you fancy some real nice pixel density then the P2415Q is simply superb.

Agreed.. They are pretty good, if I were to get a 4K monitor, would get these!

However Scan has an unbeatable deal where a Acer K242HQ monitor, which is 4K + IPS for £200 currently!

Agreed! That was one my first choice if I were to ever get a 4K monitor! If you want a cheap 4k IPS monitor, Scan currently have a great offer on this Acer K242HQ monitor for £199:http://www.scan.co.uk/products/offer...rs-dp-dvi-hdmi

    Re: Decent 4K monitor?

I'm looking at getting the Dell P2415Q but cant decide whether or not to get the 27" version or not due to the fact that I will be using it with my 13" rmbp which can only run a maximum HIDPI of 1080p, and fear that the UI will look too large on a 27 inch at 1080p.

    Re: Decent 4K monitor?

I Personally don't see the point in getting a 4k monitor if its so small (regarding the 24inch acer above).

I've personally gone for 2k ips g sync 144hz after looking at 4k. I'd imagine any IPS 27"+ 4k monitor from Asus Acer or Dell would be good though.
