Aggressive Adaptive Brightness on Dell

Hi folks,

I recently got a Dell 2715H and love it. However, when the picture is dark etc the brightness rapidly ramps down.

I have turned adaptive brightness off in Windows settings and there doesn't appear to be a setting within the monitor software itself. However it is still happening.

Any ideas on how to turn it off?

Sounds like dynamic contrast? Gets my nerves, I turn it off on everything.

On my U2715H, dynamic contrast is under the 'display' OSD menu, it's automatically enabled under certain colour preset modes.
