    Office - Home lab monitors

    hi guys,

long time since my last post.....

need a bit of assistance here... similar question to this thread

I had to return my monitors to previous employer and now will have to buy 2x with my own money.

Basically I am looking for 2x 23 or 24" monitors for mainly "office" use, i.e, home lab.... NO gaming.

I've got a Dell docking station (2x DP, 2x DVI) and will probably be looking at getting a 2nd Hand Mobile Precision M4XXX for local virtual lab.

Therefore looking at Monitors with either DP or HDMI ports and if possible with internal psu, i.e, just a kettle lead to wall socket.

Budget: as little as possible...do no even mind being refurbished with warranty....let's say £120 tops each

It seems that the AOV 23.8" i2369vm is a good contender.

    Any suggestions

    cheers ric

I bought the Mrs two of these:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YQKTGR8

For office work (she's an accountant). I'm pretty impressed with them. The only thing is that the stands are a bit plasticy, but that's not a problem as I bought one of these too:

    Which I highly recommend BTW.

Also, if you don't need the lab to be mobile, I'd consider one of the LeNovo TS140 servers. I've got a couple and they are great machines, and there's usually a cash back offer on them (there is now).

Re: Office - Home lab monitors

Requirements sound fairly minimal. The only thing I would say is, make sure you get an IPS panel and not a TN one. You probably want to stick to 1080 Full HD resolution at that size if you're working as higher resolutions things can get tough to read.

Re: Office - Home lab monitors

I would look at Benq monitors. You can pick up 24" models with HDMI and DVI (at least) for around the £120 mark. I've got three of them and can't fault them.
An Atlantean Triumvirate, Ghosts of the Past, The Centre Cannot Hold
The Pillars of Britain, Foundations of the Reich, Cracks in the Pillars.

My books are available here for Amazon Kindle. Feedback always welcome!

    hi guys,

    thank you for the replies.

Yes, I am looking at IPS monitors, even though have not read about differences, etc

I quite liked the idea of the Twin Arm (thanks B0redom) and the Asus monitor looks great.

How about this slightly smaller monitor:

It seems to have quite a thin bezel and a solid enough stand.
