I noticed a few people used to play this game... was just wondering what server you played, and when from-to?

I started on Atlantic a couple of months after it was released, then moved over to Europa where I pvped until Pub16 was released a year or so ago.

Sold my accounts last November

In the last six months, I've played a couple of player run shards (Blitz and Hubris), but I could never really get back into the game, so I just play CS now :>

I loved that game I did.

yeah i've play"ed" for 4 years, although since this christmas i've probley only spent 20 or so hours on UO, I play LS just for the PvP when i can be botherd to log on that is, usually either too busy with work and college or friends wanting to play other games like Generals or Raven Sheild which are both alot better than UO ;/

lol, or at least I used to be. Could play the game all day, started back in June 2000 but since late 2002 I have played it less and less. In fact, I don't play it at all now so I should really sell my account!

I used to play the Europa shard, factions was great fun... can't keep up with all the game changes now so it's really hard to get into again

Try the neverlands server, www.neverlands.org

its free and pretty cool. You have to register and then wait for the manual set up of your registration. Its a well established server, runs a few mods but nothing that the auto update on UO cant handle.

Word of advice though, back up your original UO files into a different directory so you can go back to other shards, the Neverlands set-up overwrites a couple of files meaning UO won't work elsewhere. Also, make sure you create a new shortcut to the neverlands exe in the UO folder... took me ages to figure out why I couldn't get the damn thing to work.

Second Age is fine, when you've installed it the first time you connect it will auto update. Then install the neverlands software and you're off!

where is the cheapest place to get hold of the game?

u used to be able to buy the second age CD for £2 in shops, but theres been so many updates since, the newest is age of shadows, around £20 in most places, you might still find a cheap older copy somewhere.
