Anyone remember Scorched Earth from the 'olden days'?
Well it's had a shot in the arm! Scorched 3D is now a sourceforge project available for 32bit Windoze or Linux/BSD.
And it's irritatingly addictive

hehe nice, remember playing on this a lot in the original, the weapon costs and everything.
Can you put it on AI mode with dozens of enemies?, can't see from the screen shots

Ooooh I loved that game! Thanks a lot, I'll give it a go when I get home tonight.
Seems simle enough but the £D makes it hard to aim correctly!
Definately one to try out over net with some mates
I've installed and played this, its fab!! 3D does make it hard to aim, but there's an auto aim function which helps, it points the gun in the right direction, but you still have to get trajectory and power right!
Bring on the napalm!!!
I used to have so much fun with that game on IRC. Thankyou for the heads up.
This was great fun in my Amiga days ... time to see if it can rekindle the magic it once had
PS Thanks for the post

I've still got the original Scorched Earth on disk somewhere, i love the sounds
I'll see if i can dig it out and host it, if anyone wants the old one :]
I think there are a few projects based on scorched earth, I remember looking around a while back for the original and found quite a few clones.
