A Game to show off my new PC

Hello All,

I'm in the process of replacing my old PC (Athlon XP 2500 and 9800Pro) with a new one (C2D and 8800GTS 640Mb) and would like some suggestions for a game that can show off my new PC's capabilities.

btw, I like games such as CoD2 and most RTS.

well an RTS to show off on it supreme commander and Company of Heros look great. Maybe grab soem of those demos of new games like lost planet and colin mcrae.

I was going to ask the same thing, same spec, but more FPS for me....

Just set my rig up last night, installed XP this morning before I came into work. noisy bugger in a Antec P182 case...

although its a few years old...far cry its the first game you should boot up, whack everything on high and enjoy your paradise holiday

If you wait a few months, Crysis and Unreal Tournament 3 will be perfect to show off your system.

i would recommend checking out: rainbow 6 vegas, call of juarez, oblivion, company of heroes and d!rt

however, some of the older games still look great at a decent resolution, such as: fear/extraction point, farcry (with some hdr tweaks), hl2 lost coast and doom3

if you are running vista, some of the nvidia dx10 demos are pretty nice, mainly cascades, froggy and the human head

I'd agree with the above guys, they're good games indeed. I'd also add STALKER to the list - Take a look at my post in this thread http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=109739 you can then make STALKER really pretty.
