controller for vista and colin mcrae dirt

right been playing dirt demo on xp and switched to vista and reinstalled the demo on vista as my 2 yr old loves racing the boo car (blue to me and you) anyway pulled out me ps2 controllers got them on a convertor and hey presto dont work on vista

so does anyone know of a half decent controller that doesn't cost an arm and a leg as i have to buy the full game for him (thats my story if the missus asks anyway)

but he cant use a keyboard

anyone that suggest a 360 controller can stick it somewere hate them (like the style of ps2 controllers)

also would a wingman formula gp wheel work with it as i could get mine out the loft

    cheers all

The Logic 3 USB Rumble Pad coded JP274 works flawlessly in Vista 64 Bit. Looks exactly the same as a PS2 controller.

Been using mine to play TR Anniversary and Broken Sword Sleeping Dragon. Really good pad and will set you back about £15. Not bad for a pad that has dual analogue.

hmm, what convertor are you using for ps2-to-pc? as the one i have works fine in vista x64 - even with 2 controllers.

the 360 pad i think is pretty damn nice and should make playing dirt very nice

i still cannot decide if i prefer it to the duel shock 2 pad, not a big fan of the 6axis, i dont like how flimsy those triggers feel and its just too light.

the 360 pad is the best, it feels as solid as the ds2 pad did (previous fave) but the trigger buttons and wirelessness with a 1st party pad is brilliant. its got little accel break pedals on it basically so whats not to like?
