Prince of Persia Sands of Time: Totally stuck

Anyone here played Prince of Persia Sands of Time? I'm totally and utterly stuck at this part:

    http://www.stratosgroup.com/guides/h...ppst/?cat=46td

I run up the stairs, grab the poles spin n jump and all that to reach the lever. Then I jump up and pull the lever and the bridge moves. Farah says to try pulling the lever again. Which is what the above linked strategy guide says. But the lever can't be pulled again. It's pulled as much as it will pull. I can jump up and grab it as many times as I like and it never moves. Farah never goes to grab the other lever, she just stands there on the stairs. I'm stuck on the platform unable to go anywhere. According to the strategy guide the way off the bridge is to jump on to the bridge but I can't do that because it's not in the right place for me to be able to jump on to it because the levers haven't been pulled.

So after half an hour of running around, quitting, loading up the save game and trying again etc I'm left thinking that either I'm missing something, though I have no idea what, or there's a heinous bug in the game.

    Anyone help me out?

Re: Prince of Persia Sands of Time: Totally stuck

The only patch I can find is from 2004. The copyright date on the DVD case is 2006. You can hang off he ledge and jump backwards but unless you've already got the bridge moved to the right place you die. Which was my problem.

I've got past that part now anyway. Heinous bug I think. I was looking around having pulled the lever seeing if there was anywhere else I could go, for the Nth time, and a jump I tried killed me. I clicked retry and was put back by the lever. I pulled it and lo and behold Farah then ran to the other lever and pulled it. Why the &*^% she didn't do it all the other times I pulled the damned lever instead of just standing on the stairs like a lemon I have no idea.On with the rest of the game and fingers crossed something dumb like that doesn't happen again.

I've done that part and don't recall having a problem (although I seem to remember it took me a while)
Great game though I'm on the second one now, "Warroir Within" and I'm stuck / bored Simply because there is SUCH a long section before the next Save point and even when I struggle through, I die (again) after about 20 mins and just can't face re-playing the whole section over and over again Shame really....

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

Glad you got past it! I loved that game - infact ubisoft are giving the game away for free now along with some others. I never got on with any of the sequels, they became too dark (graphically and with rock music) rather than just misty and arabian.... Still best of luck with the rest of it!!!

jonathan_phang....that is a PERFECT description of how I feel about it too.

Sair and I both played through Sands of Time, seperately...it was good enough to talk about it, comparing how we'd got on!

Warrior Within made me "Angry Within" 1 hour, so I gave up. The music trashed it too. I thank you.

the two thrones is reasonable penance.
