I only have the one, but I'm not really interested, so whoever wants it can have it!

I got one this morning, which is slightly concerning given that it's due for release in less than 2 weeks...

Apparently, they just need to make sure everything is running smoothly prior to the European release.

Makes sense to me. Widens the beta community immensely following their last proper beta for pre-gold bugs, and means they can be working on a patch for release-time. Most games have a patch around launch, usually a potentially painful two or three weeks after. This should speed things up a bit, and also shows that they're convinced their game is good enough to be worth buying after trying the beta.
