    J1 Lan Party 17-19th Feb 08 Hampshire :)

For those of you that love a cheeky LAN or 2, theres a new kid on the block!

As the title says its gonna be a 3 day event in Feb (Yes thats a way off yet, but then you've got time to book leave from work!) There are 30 places and its being held in Selbourne, Hants.

Full details can be found at

    j1 // 'Cus we can n00b!

BTW I am in no way affiliated with the organisation or running of this, ive Just been to a previous event, and it was genuinly a great lan with a very good atmosphere So I thought it wud be good to see if any other Hexiates would care to come along

Interesting as I live in hants. But does the place have decent travel links? And what about accomodation? As it's a 3-day event. Or am I forgetting that people aren't meant to "sleep" at these things.

Hey there, im mike, i co-run the LAN.

As for travel links the main way to the event is by car, as far as i know selborne does not have a trainstation as it is a small village..although i will double check.

And accomodation wise, there is a small room we will be using for sleeping...unfortunatley it is quite small so it will be on a first come first serve basis. The rest of the sleeping area will be in the main hall down one end...or at your desk...wherever suits really.

There are also a couple of pubs right next door which may have rooms to rent..again i would have to look this up.

feel free to check out our minisite (please check origional post as i cannot post urls currently! - This has all the info on the LAN. If anyone has any more questions please feel free to ask, or email me.

Places can be booked either via the J1 minisite, or via the LANraiders website

Hope to see some of you there!

Selborne is quite a small village, although it is only just down the road from Alton, situated between the A31 and A3

if you've been there recently you'll have noticed that they've got rid of the line down the middle of the road, in an attempt to make it look narrower.. both mine and my girlfriends thoughts at the time were 'wow, they've widened this road!'

lol, selborne literally is in the middle of nowhere, tho you could always visit gilbert white's house if you're tired of fragging...

wouldnt it be better to re-host it somewhere with a train station?

    good luck tho
