Xbox advanced scart cable optical audio connector.

The Xbox advanced scart cable has a digital optical out, that enables you to connect it to a 5.1 decoder.

As we are about to get such a unit, can someone tell me is there any standard optical connector type?
Is the connector on this cable different from any others, or are all optical connectors teh same?

    Cheers.

They do a lot of good priced cables. Does make me grin when people mention gold plated connectors on optical connectors, thers no electricity to conduct.

    That's quite a handy site.

Do you know if the Official 'advanced scart and this one would be any different???
As they both provide an RGB output and an optical digital output.

Not a bad cable there on that site, personally im using a Joytech, I got it from Gamestation in a 2 for £30 offer. bought it with DOA3 theres a good selection of choices.. like a Steering Wheel, Light Gun, Games, etc. Really is a good deal.

I have read reviews by some people sating that some cables are better than others, but am not sure if they were trying to justify buying the more exspensive ones. I like the one on AV's site, it has AV breakout box my one doesent. Also for that price comes with the optical cable. Think I might post AVonlines site on the bargains forum, might interest some people.
