I'm playing the demo of Star Wars Lego II on PC. It was fun until I got stick and now it's starting to piss me off. I'm at a point where I can see I need to push something up against a closed door then shoot it to make a big boom and 'open' the door. There's a hatchway with a lever next to it. Pull the lever a big block thingy comes out and a helpful message comes up on the screen telling me I can push any object with black and yellow stripes. This block thingy has black and yellow stripes. There's a clearly marked path between it and the door to push it along. Except...
I. can't. freakin'. push. it.
Except a few times by pure chance it's shifted a bit then got stuck again. I have a choice of Han or Chewy. I can get them to both make like their pushing no problem. They stand there and their little legs move and the really put their little plastic shoulders in to the task. But the bloody block remains stationary until eventually it pisses me off enough that I blow it up and pull the lever for a new one.
It's not rocket science, it's moving a chunk of virtual explosive lego with a smaller less explosive lego in a game. One shouldn't still be trying to figure it out after half an hour. Perhaps I am just astoundingly thick, but I must be missing something. How the hell do you push stuff around?!
