PS2 coop games for a 7 yr old?

Basically, I'd like some games to play with my lil' bro. We've played and finished Lego Starwars II and I'm considering getting the first one as he loved the second one so much, but was wondering if there are any better coop games that I could get for me and him to play (or him and his friends, for that matter)

    EDIT: Well....actually he's turning 8 in July...

My son loves co-op with me on Spiderman - Friend or foe, although we play on pc there is a ps2 version.

Two-player Spider-Man co-op: Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, offersa unique mode that lets friends join the game at any time and take control of Spider-Man’s sidekick.Playing Friend or Foe in two-player co-op mode allows gSpider-Man: Friend or Foe, battle arenas are unlocked where raw one-on-one brawling with any Spidey friend or foe can take place at any time.
    good fun.

Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 on the PS2 are good co op games. Literally just hack & slash like Diablo and so easy to pick up.

    good fun.
Reviews seem to show it as just a bash'em'up... I was hoping to avoid those kinds of things. With Lego starwars I left him to do all the puzzles and he really liked it when he finally solved it himself. Is there anything else in that vein (i.e. making him think a bit aswell)

Guitar Hero? Could be a bit costly to get set up with both guitars but it's a great co-op experience.

No offence, but I don't think he wants his brother turning into your avatar

Re: PS2 coop games for a 7 yr old?

I just sat down with him for the first time in ages to go on the PS2. I loaded up TMNT for him and was so suprised to find out how BAD he is at gaming!

Its a rarity, a child who can't play video games! I've decided that this is wrong, and I'm gonna spend more quality time gaming with him now!
