    Lightbulb Hate FilePlanet Queues?

This will not work for FilePlanet-only downloads, but the majority of game patches, game movies etc aren't FilePlanet only.

When the publisher of a game doesn't want to host the patches for their games themselves, they forward you to advert filled FilePlanet. Simply copy the filename of the file, head ofer to www.filemirrors.com , serach for the filename, find a server close to you and experience fast downloads for your pleasure

    and www.filemirrors.com

just make sure u get the filename as opposed to the mod name . i.e. ts2.1.exe or whatever instead of the specialist x-)

Google has been mega useful at finding files. Another tip I do is type in "filename.rar ftp", quite often it displays a http > ftp listing, really handy.

Also, alltheweb.com has an ftp files search, but usually only about 1/3 of the links work.

Still, it kicks Fileplanet into touch.

I prefer using BitTorrent for big files, as usually the more people downloading, the faster it gets

the demos on fileplanet usually appear on blueyonder after a week or so but its still damn fast plus id also recommend http://www.gamershell.com which does usually have the odd congestion but not as bad as fileplanet

I usually avoid fileplanet as much as possible.

My usual sources for demo release mirrors :

    3dgamers.com
    demonews.com
    bluesnews.com
