You heard about the patch debacle?
It's been delayed again, and the community manager said he was being sarcastic when he said it was coming out last week. It's been delayed 3 or 4 times now, and bear in mind there are serious game-breaking level bugs that have been there for 3 months now. Look at valve for how to release patches.
At least Mike Verdu has come out and said they are going to consider creating a support team from now on rather than depending on the game developers to fix other games whilst developing new games.

Is the announcement from the community manager and the general manager of EALA (Los Angeles, I assume).
I think this ranks among some of the most shocking support for a title ever. You can still force a desync if you are losing in a game using AA towers or something, I'm not sure of the details. I should get to play the beta of red alert 3 but really I don't know if I will buy it, I'm not sure whether I can trust EA.
Having said that, there are not that many RTS games out there. I play company of heroes but that's got issues in other ways (i.e. some idiot came up with a p2p online system which works sometimes but not others, instead of having a 'host' and people connect to the host). Starcraft is old. Warcraft 3 isn't particularly fun (for me), and I fall asleep when playing supreme commander. I really miss the days of good matchups on red alert and such. Generals: ZH was good actually, but again lack of support means it was left unbalanced (rockvees, alpha auroras etc.)
