    Guitar Hero World Tour

As this is X-Platform I thought I would start a thread in here. I have pre-ordered my copy with band set from Amazon, as they are giving away and extra free Guitar for the bass parts. So thats 2 guitars, drums, mic and game for £150 which isn't bad.

I got hooked on the GH:OT for the DS and quite liked it. While I was contemplating Rock Band, the extra Guitar controller really sold it to me to be honest. Release date is 14th November according to Amazon.

    I've pre-ordered the PS3 version.

    Re: Guitar Hero World Tour

I've been contemplating buying either this or Rock Band for ages. Friends swear by Rock Band (the songs are more fun/better learning curve), but I've read that the instruments for GH:WT are much better. From what I've seen I prefer the song list for GH as well, but the sheer amount and consistency of DLC for Rock Band is quite impressive and would probably make me spend far too much!

At the moment I'm holding out 'til GH:WT is out to see if the instruments are definitely compatible or otherwise with Rock Band (PS3). I really just want to try out the drums. I already have GH3 and hit a wall somewhere in the middle of hard. I found hard too hard and medium too easy so it just got put to one side eventually, especially considering the lack of new songs.

    Re: Guitar Hero World Tour

Release date is 7th Nov I believe. I have it pre-ordered on Xbox from Game, £150 inc. free bass guitar controller.

From what I can tell, drums on GHWT are different to those in Rock Band - RB has 4 drums and a pedal, GHWT has 3 drums, 2 cybals and a pedal

    Re: Guitar Hero World Tour

I think RB2 drums has room for expansion and cymbals. TBH I can't see myself playing it all the time with mates, I'll be shredding the guitar licks myself, but its good to have the rest when there is a party over at mine.

    Re: Guitar Hero World Tour

I'm gonna look into picking this up around Christmas time. I'd had my sights set on Rock Band for a while but delays in the UK release and high prices put me off.

Enjoyed the previous Guitar Hero games a lot so I may just stick with the series.

Surely you can't still be enjoying GH3? Trying to do any of the Dragonforce ones (Bonus song for beating game, plus 3 on DLC) on Expert is on the same level as attempting to play the damn game without the console plugged in

Hard mode is fine though, broke the 400k barrier on Revolution Deathsquad today

EDIT: XBL says release date is 14th... GAME says 7th IIRC... confusion somewhere, methinks

    Re: Guitar Hero World Tour

Game are not really reliable when it comes to release dates. But looking at other sites, the GAME is for release on the 7th, the BAND packs on the 14th.
