Yeah. Good idea.
I don't know
No. I have decent PC thank you.
I think OnLive would be a far better idea if it was offered at the ISP level, with servers situated at the local exchange, then the latencys would be a lot lower, especially if it's combined with the 21CN network upgrades.
Also, more importantly, you could use the servers to sell SaaS to local businesses, who don't want to invest heavily in their IT infrastructure could instead subscribe to a service where their main business applications were hosted at the exchange and run from there.

If it worked as advertised it's just another console without the discs.
I don't even play my xbox online anymore as I cba with all the random kiddies. Can't beat the PC for communities.
PS.
Yes I'm also trying to justify this new rig
I would use it, but not as a replacement to my current PC that would be really dumb considering I need my PC for other stuff as well. But it would be great for someone who has done a decent amount of gaming whilst not at my desktop. That said I doubt that the capabilities of most the wireless points that I take advantage of are enough to use onlive even if it works as advertised.
even assuming it works and is actually good... why would I need to use it? I have a well decent PC and enjoy upgrading/building. A PC is more than just gaming anyway..

I know what you mean. I bought a Xbox 360 so I wouldn't need to udgrade. Just play games on the 360. Epic fail. Nothing quite like cracking open that case of your aging, crappy PC, messing around and then the joy of finding it's now a nice spangly PC.
One thing I think about - How much will this service cost. You never know, it might simply be cheaper just to upgrade your PC in the longrun anyway
