Not really, considering there has already been the Sims 1 and the asims 2... all i see is a graphics overhaul, and new items to play with... IMO, the best still has to be the original with all it's expansions...

i realy cant wait for this game. i bet this will be the first game that real tax out a quad core. have you guys tried to play sims 2 with mods that help u build and control a huge manshion? i remember trying that on my current rig and my fps was terrible. i was getting around 10-20fps and that was on medium settings. it was nearly has bad as crysis TBH.

i think it was because sims is such a cpu hog, that i wont be surprised if sim3 realy puts a strain on a quad core. i probably imagine the sims 2 already outting a strain on dual core

Well if you're gonna be pedantic heres one, but it isn't in English

here are some of the things i would like sims 3 to have:

MMO version of sims 3

be able to actualy participate and control your sim for various sports activities such has golf, tennis etc

Be able to control your sim working in an enviornemt weather its in a office doing various tasks etc instead of your sim going to work and your sim magicly arrives back home.

make it even more mod friendly with proper sdk tolls and software to create any object.

Better graphics.

be able to walk or drive around the neibourhood and visit any family or community without having to load the spesific Lot(ie load the game once for each neibourhood and thats that).


better optimization for better game performance. Online version where up to 8 people can play online controling one sim at a time?


In regards to the MMO version, if not fully implemented, do a similar style has guild wars where everone can meet up in some community lot selling items and communicating with eachother

Yeah some sort of online market or auction house would be pretty cool. Real time bartering for items would be fun.

Yea, what would improve this game alot would be some sort of online play. they only thing that concerns me is the use of custom items. say if you was in the market place and some sims have custom items. you would somehow need to download those items so that from your pc you can view there custom items correctly.

for this to work i think they would need to try to reduce the file size for each custom item so that when downloading it, its quicker.
