    Battlefield 1943

    Anyone playing it yet?

I had a few issues getting into some games earlier, due to the high volumes of people trying to play I think. They have added some more servers now and it seems to be working well.

I've been playing it recently.. connection issues are pretty much resolved now which is good.. need someone to tlak to...seems not many people in squads use headsets so it's a very quiet experience...

I have it, played last night. Its good but the problem is that I am not! Its really annoying being sniped by people on the aircraft carriers!

    Re: Battlefield 1943

Got it yesterday, and after trying to get into a game for over an hour I managed to get into a game for 5 minutes before lag appeared and I gave up

Gave it a go today and it seems to be working fine now, really enjoying it, especially the epic moments that can happen in the planes

Brilliant actually, gives me good memories of BF2 when it was first released (and actually a very good game).

Finally found out how to do the airstrikes, suck at them though.

And the plane bombs are too underpowered, have had many in my face while walking or dropped some on a few people and nothing really happens.

There's a bunker on each map (represented by a symbol with three planes on the mini map) that if you enter gives you control of three bombers. You've got to wait for them to recharge in-between raids though.

    Re: Battlefield 1943

Yea, no lock up's for me today

Had 4 in total yesterday in less than 3 hours gaming and it starting to ruin it for me.

Not noticed any lag today either which I was suffering with yesterday So that's all good.

Yup, also, when the light above the bunker is flashing, it means someone is using it (and if you look on the map and the planes in the sky are red, just wait until the guy comes out and kill him, hehe). You can move the planes and it takes a few goes to get used to it, and when you release the bombs the crosshair will put the front bombs exactly where you placed it, and the two planes either side will drop the bombs a little earlier, so if someone is not in your crosshair, but are next to it, just wait and aim at them with the othet two planes.

As for this game, can't put it down, it's almost as bad when BF1942 landed on the PC I would play it for hours on end without realising. At least it looks as if in 2 days time the xbox players should have the coral sea map
