    cos I've had Far Cry since April 15th (Birthday present) and only this am did I remember it....

    about far cry.. I've got 9800 Pro with a gig of ram. When I configure it says I should be on medium settings... is this right :| I ran it on full everything earlier and it didn't feel right.

    I have the same set up as you, I noticed the frame rate dropped by nearly half when I had Textures and texture filter on very high for both. So I left everything else on very high and brought the textures down to medium, and it went smoothly That was with 4xAA + 4xAS

    1280x1024
    All settings in advanced should be on very high, shadows medium. AF reasonable- play around with it Same goes for AA

    I have 1280x1024 Everything on very high, shadows medium, full AF and medium AA

    I have a 9800pro and 512mb ram and its perfectly playable
