Hmm.... my 460 looks like its going to be another crysis lagger (tolerable 30FPS but would be nice for more >.<), increasing to 1920x1080 res hasnt helped lol!.

Might need to sell a kidney and get some 580's haha

It's DX9 in game and all modes look the same. Game felt silky smooth to me.

It said in the article that DX9 was the only mode available in the beta and that dx10/11 will follow when they get the released version. Maybe it will be better for me actually, dx10 and 11 brought a fair few improvements to performance as well as visual effects so its possible for it rise from a ~30fps average to 40fps average on dx10 maybe .

Or just pick up another cheap 460 - they will probably perform really well, what iwith it being an Nvidia game. I hear great things about 460 SLI

its crossed my mind but they are still selling for £100+ even second hand it seems which is way more than i want to spend at the minute, let alone the fact my income is now minimal lol.

Ill see how it pans out, might have to get it at some point but i shall see.

Um 5870 with 1GB memory on it I guess I am looking at a few frames less than the 6870 1GB card? So I guess I will be running it at med/high details then.

I like how they can build an article based on an illegal download and have the balls to say it was the right thing to do. Even outside that the numbers are completely useless seeing as it's a unfinished build with major limitations (i.e. medium only) and performance problems/bugs.

Given the demo is just a few days away I'd say don't waste any time on this - shoddy journalism if you ask me..

Out of interest, anyone who took advantage of the EA price cock up, has the pre-order shown on your EA Downloader yet? Still nothing this end. It's on Steam but still doesn't show in the EA Downloader. Anyone know if they tend to put games up on release day or a week or so before, not too sure on EA's normal practice of getting games ready for digital pre-orders.

Id be intrested to know this aswell, i got the game on pre-order for £15 (bargain i know) but have had no email other than the confirmation email
