Have to agree that it's very much aimed at the casual player.

The new starter plane (the Icon A5) is more like a car than an aircraft. It's based on a concept design that never really took off. Unfortunately, unlike FSX you can't just climb straight into the old Cessna (or my personal favourite, the Boeing 737). You do get the tail-dragging Boeing-Stearman Model 75, but I've never been a fan of these types of plane. You can also purchase a Maule, a P-51 Mustang or a Van's RV-6... all small aircraft. I think for the foreseeable future I'll be sticking with FSX.

Also can't be sure to what extent MS have made Flight mod-able in the same wait that FSX was. I use PassangerX and the like to add a bit of extra realism. I'm willing to give it a chance. I mean, the graphics do look nice. But there are still purists who refuse to upgrade to FSX from FS2004...

Oh, one other gripe. It wouldn't recognise my Black Widow joystick straight away. Or even with some cajoling. Perhaps there's a fix out there for this though. I must admit I didn't look very hard.

Fine as a casual game, the additional content is pretty expensive.

It'll be interesting to see how Flight develops over the coming years.
