    The Elder Scrolls 4?

I made this thread since I'm not particularly keen on hijacking threads (specifically this one:http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=23565)

From that thread, I heard about a new Elder Scrolls game. Although Morrowind is the first Elder Scrolls game I've played, I love it, for various reasons which I won't go into here. Obviously, another Elder Scrolls game would be fantastic, but does anybody know what The Elder Scrolls 4 will be about? Storyline? Setting?

    Thanks

    Mike

Sorry to dig this up from the depths but the current rumours are: Eldar Scrolls 4 oblivian rumoured to take place on summerset isle (High Elf Land)

    <More info here at uesp.net>

You'll have to dig around this extensive site that goes on about all the elder scrolls games like arena, battlespire, daggerfall (Quality game and brought about the downfall of my a-levels!) etc etc

That's the only other place I could find with information about the new game, but it isn't exactly in detail! Still, should be good (based on the previous game).

I'd love it if it was a good mix between Daggerfall & morrowind, with better dialogue and an easier to read Quest log.

i.e. The Caves of daggerfall were massive and i got really engrossed in the game but because of the bugs sometimes i failed a mission because i got stuck in a wall or the Lich you had to kill was in a room with no way to get to it or the lich was actually in the wall!!

And morrowind caves were tiny in comparison.

Never played any Elder Scrolls games before but Zak is right: Morrowind is brilliant! (Especially in terms of how long it lasts) Probably one of my all-time favourite games. I've played with about three different characters since last year, and I haven't even started the main quest, I'm too busy doing everything else. I just hope Part 4 is as good!

I loved that game! I used a grand master gem and a rare shiled... to create a enchanted shield! It shoot flaming balls of fire! The problem was that it had a masive blast raidious and it killed on the first shoot! It made the game so sad! I quite playing after I couldnt find a guy I needed to find! I was suposed to buy him a present and give it to him... But I never found him! Oh well!

Oh man, talk of daggerfall brings up some lovely memories. Remember the Vampire Ancients (AKA Clasky the Chainsaw Count because of the sound effect they had ) You'd walk up to them, next thing you'd hear Zzap zing blum blang and then the YAH of you dying...

The dungeons in daggerfall were HUGE and i'm mean bloody huge! You could spend hours walking around them and not completely explore them...

One thing about daggerfall that did annoy me though was the tavern music. You'd be playing the game and everything would be normal, soon as you walk into a tavern DE DEEDLE DE DEE DUR DUR, and you'd have to reach for the volume knob cause it was so loud and annoying. Luckily the patch fixed that...

As for oblivian there is talk about a secret bethseda project alll very hush hush, gamespot did something on it a while back I think. Could be part 4...

Yeah i remember them i'd crap myself each time i heard that sound, also walking around the massive maze of tunnels scared of what might be around the corner and then hearing the shriek of the skeleton or the skeleton lich!!

I used to fire an anchor spell (or something like that) and then go exploring down as far as i could then when i got stuck i'd fire the recall spell and try a different route (The game was immensely huge in every way possible!!)

The game was well scary, the worst possible monsters would jump out at you in the dungeons and scare the living daylights out of you... The ancient liches were a nightmare. Occasionlly you'd walk into a room and they'd be four of them there. They'd all cast spells and everyone would die including themselves and monsters 2 rooms down the corridor

Oh god, thats the one, can feel my headache coming on already

Some funny things in the game though, remember the nymphs or the Daedra Seducers or the fact that you could loiter behind some crates in a shop till after closing time, come out, rob the poor shopkeeper blind, then sell it all back to him in the morning! Class! The amount of tmes the Odd Blades in daggerfall got cleared out...
