Flippin Microsoft!

So my friend and I tried to LAN two pc's over the weekend and play Age of Mythology/Titans.

Neither computer would acknowledge the other when hosting/joining a game. Yet the computers otherwise communicated and Ghost Recon would play fine.

Gave us the error, "Invalid Argument Supplied".

Been searching online for answers and can I find any? No.

Apparently a few people have had the same problem. No answers so far, although it seems if I uninstall the Titans then I can play the original.

As for MS Support - no clear answers and if you'd like someone to help - you fork out $35 per incident.

Has anyone any idea how to sort this out?
