Also try a search engine and type the name of an old game you like and stick remake on the end and see if someone has made one.
i.e. elite remake
Same thing applies here though, you must own the game before downloading. (To protect yourself)
Right, I'm going to say straight here and now. SOD THAT.Originally posted by Ravens Nest
Disclaimer, make sure you own the games and amiga before downloading emulators as it is illegal if you dont..
If I'ed of had to dig out my A500 or A1200 and seen if I could find my old cross dos disk to try to extract the rom, I probably wouldnt have bothered... where as I can run my old games when I feel nostalgic without wasting all afternoon raiding my parents attic. You will also find that all these sites get a bit vague on help and the finer points of helping you get what you already own.
If you want the roms they are dead easy to find - google for kick13.zip (or kick13.ROM), skip a page or two and find a suitable 3rd world language based web site (like a Spanish, German, French one i.e. everyone else under the sun ignores the silly rule etc) and go download the file. Virus check it and away you go.
There are 2 main points I feel defend my blatant suggestion to pirate the old roms. Basicalls it boils down to:
a) Is it at all likely that anyone who hasnt owned an Amiga/ST in the past is going to be in the slightest bit interested in downloading the old rom?
b) Cloanto charge for their emulator - but how many peeps are paying this licence fee for something they already own. The way I see it is Cloanto and the current Amiga name owners are sitting on their laurels getting peeps to effectively pay twice for what they already own. So what if a few new peeps Dload it? Enough peeps have already been fleeced for the rom twice.

I used to spend hours and hours gaming on the spectrum, but now I'm struggling to remember the names of any of them.... apart from Emlyn Hughes International Soccer - tied with Sensible Soccer as the best football game I've ever played!
anyone rember Traderwars it was a bbs game no graphic's but i loved it
Ghouls and Ghosts absolutley wicked games and Golden Axe
Lee
My fav STe game was Flight of the intruder, truly absorbing flightsim, much better than the film, i got the novel in the box with the discs and manual and that was a good read.
Elite was another great game.
always wanted to complete some of the UFO games, unfortunatly my PC was to fast for it and now it wont install on my OS, even with compability wizard.
