Steam has released the new version of Dota 2 called Dota 2 - Reborn the changes they made are:
• New interface
• New engine
• Custom Games
And Everything in the dashboard has been redesigned utilizing a new UI framework and the engine that powers the game has been fully replaced. Early next week they'll be talking about Custom Games, and later that week they'll conclude with various details about the new engine and launch the open beta.
------------------------
What is this New Engine?
------------------------
Dota 2 is now powered by the Source 2 engine, Valve's latest game development platform. This means that ongoing development in the new engine will continue to improve Dota 2. Source 2 includes technology for rendering improvements, performance optimizations, higher fidelity content, and richer, more dynamic games.

System Requirements:
---------------------
System Requirements are pretty much the same. But i think new Engine may also change its System's requirement.
--------------------
Notice:
--------------------
After the real release of the beta there have been the issue ever since of crashing on game start-up, right-after the load screen, Windows mouse theme changes to game's theme.
-> The only fix (worked for few) that has come through is: Forcing the game to run in DX11 64bit mode. Reborn defaults to DX9, 32 bit now. There are ways to force it to run in DX11 64 bit. If you do that the game becomes smoother and somewhat faster to load. I think this is because of it is in beta. I suspect it will default to 64 bit once finished. How?
-> (1) goto, steamApps\common\dota2 beta\game\bin\win64 directory.
-> (2) Right Click on the dota2.exe > send to > desktop(creating shortcut).
-> (3) now, goto desktop and right click on the dota2 shortcut that you created and goto properties.
-> (4) then, goto the Shortcut tab, then where address(path) is defined infront of "target" without changing or deleting anything add(type) -dx11 at the end of the text.
I hope that my post may come helpful for users here. Thanks
