Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is getting a remaster and a BBC Radio 4 show of all things!

The original game is a fond favourite of mine. The lead voice acting is spot on, Michael Ironside is fantastic along with Dennis Haysbert though his role improves in the sequal.

An eight-part series that will tell a tale of what happens "When a lethal assassin from Fisher's past returns from the dead on a mission of murder".

The only characters from the show that have been named so far are Sam himself and his daughter, Sarah, "who teams up with her dad on his latest secret missions". I wouldn't be surprised if a few of Splinter Cell's more memorable characters put in an appearance, though, by which I mostly just mean Lambert, the guy who shouted "Dammit Fisher, I'm pulling you out" at you every ten minutes.
