    Re: Steam Summer Sale

A couple of older games on my wishlist are down to about £3 so I'm happy, newer games are *reduced* to about £40, think I'll pass...

Older games always come down a lot. Surprised Company of heroes 3 only has a 10% reduction, should be a lot more than that

    Re: Steam Summer Sale

Picked up binary domain for £1.99 as I fancied some old school shootery-ness.
I have had Jedi Fallen Order on my wishlist for ages but that's still £35, and Jedi: survivor is only down to £45!

On the lookout for some decent FPSs that I don't already own, I don't think there are many left!

I'm always weighing up whether to get Cyberpunk on sale or if I should wait for the expansion and get it then...

It's really held its price surprisingly, I can't see it getting much cheaper when the expansion comes out. They have fixed so many issues since launch. And I had it at launch and it was a mess. It's a much better experience now.

    Re: Steam Summer Sale

I got Fifa 23 at £14.99. Yeah yeah I know the football season is over but I like the random game every now and again but definitely don't play it enough to get it full price.

    Plus Hearts Of Iron IV

Very tempted but .... requires Denuvo, and a Ubisoft account. While I kinda get anti-cheats, it's a curse that they're needed but I guess they are. As I'm only interested in single-player mode though, so Denuvo stings.

I only play single player. For all the protections I haven't noticed anything affecting gameplay but yeah can understand the concerns

    Re: Steam Summer Sale

I guess what worries me as much as anything is breaking a principle - I only want stuff on my machine that works for me as, after all, it's my machine that will be affected IF there's an impact. And Denuvo has an especially not-good reputation, Okay, a lot of the problems with it (that I know of) were a while ago and issues do have a history of getting sorted out. But also sometimes, new ones introduced through firmware/software updates. i just see Denuvo as giving me nowt of use, but being at least a potential issue.

The question is, am I prepared to put up with it to play Anno 1800 (and other games needing it)? As of now.... nope.

    Re: Steam Summer Sale

As tempting as it is, I'm surprisingly eager to get Cities Skylines 2 on launch. Not to mention the 100s of games I've still yet to play from previous years.

A couple I would get if I had nothing to catch up on:

    Steel Division 2 - £8.74
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/9...el_Division_2/

    Orcs Must Die 3 - £9.51
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1...cs_Must_Die_3/

    Starship Troopers Extermination - £16.79
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1...Extermination/

    Red Dead Redemption 2 - £19.79
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1..._Redemption_2/

EDIT: FYI - I have found slightly better deals on Green Man Gaming so definitely do a bit of checking before you hit buy

    Re: Steam Summer Sale

I have hundreds of unplayed games in my steam library all bought when they were cheap. Not sure if I will ever get to play them!
