I have the same problem as u guys. I just recently purchased Chronicles of Riddick and applied the European Patch too. But when I launch the game the box containing the title “Chronicles of Riddick” appears and then my comp hangs at the splash screen (where there’s something written in yellow). I have tried uninstalling and installing the game in C: but the game refuses to proceed to the menu. I have looked almost everywhere for a solution but in vain. Someone suggested installing the game in C but it didn't work.

    Please help me!

    Thanks

    My sys specs:

    nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra
    Creative SBlive! 5.1
    DirectX 9.0 c
    System Ram: 1536 MB
    Video driver : forceware 71.89
    Sound driver : 5.1.2535.0
    Windows XP SP2
    AMD Athlon 64 2800+

Thumbs up Riddick patch won't load

I have been trying to install the 1.1 patch from all folders, and it keeps saying the old file isn't found even when I put it in the same folder as the file it is looking for. I've seen the post saying to start it from the install folder, but there is no folder called that. I ran it from all folder. Whereexactly can I get it to run from?

    Holy thread resurection Batman !!!

If you installed it under the standard install path :

C:\ Program Files (then I think it is either Sierra or Starbreeze as a directory)

Open the directory that it installed to and copy the patch file into there, then run the patch. Normally with a patch like this it is the directory that has the Riddick .exe file in it.

LOL! I did install it there. After doing more research, found out the problem was I had gotten the European version, so I needed that patch, not the US version. It works now.

Re: Can't play, riddick escape from butcher bay

hey guys i run the us patch and the installation process stops at 5% and when i run the eu one it stops at 19% . in both cases a window appears and says " old file not found. however , a file of the same name was found. no update done since file contents do not match "

i tried to run the game after that and it stucks at a screen where it says all rights reserved etc etc in yellow letters

    plz help DDDDDD

    Nice thread resurection.

Did you follow the instructions above? i.e. run the patch from the actual directory the game is installed in?

Re: Can't play, riddick escape from butcher bay

Are you using any no-cd cracks etc? Sounds like it's refusing to install as you have an alternate file in place of the original, this usually is caused by no-cd cracks .exe's

... Yeah, try that - it could be those files that you pasted in. Good luck!
