Depends what the rest of the hardware is, 3200 is backwards compatible and usually cheaper than 2100 anyway.

Ive run a CS server on a duron 1.2 with 384mb of pc133, so you really dont need to worry about hardware.

So what your asking is would 1gig of PC3200 be better than 2gig of PC2100?

You wont notice a difference with a CSS server.

in the short time that my CSS server rental company was operating (erm well while we were testing..never quite got off the ground ) we were running 5, 16 player CSS servers on one box with these specs

    cheap £20 motherboard
    P4 2.8ghz
1gig of cheap PC2100 unbranded ram

You dont need high specs and lots of ram to run a server for CSS especially if you run it via linux (much better than the windows server)

hope thats of use to you

well it depends on alot of things.

    a) what internet connection will it be run on? if your thinking any home DSL or Cable setup then think again - they will not be enough.
    b) how many servers do you want to run per machine?
    c) what game(s) do you want to run?
    d) can you use linux or are you restricted to windows?
