Yep, though you can hook up an iPod to the Xbox 360, any music on it bought through iTunes won't play...
So says Microsofts' Jeff Crenshaw on HEXUS.gaming.

Did anyone really expect that it would though? That would like Sadam and Bush going on a date.
Although i'm not really sure exactly what the benifits would be to stream music from an ipod to an Xbox 360 would be anyway???
Will you be able to use the Xbox360 to rip CD's and load up a PSP, Ipod etc with tracks? That would be a neat feature for people who don't have PC's, very limited technical knowledge etc.

Probably has something to do with the BS DRM
Just another reason why I won't buy stuff from I-Tunes. If i buy music i expect to have fair use of it. Meaning i will play it how i want to.
You don't give me those options i won't buy music.

Isnt it just. i thought the MP3 revolution was meant to give us more freedom with our music, but the likes of Apple, Sony and MS to want to retrict us more. Well thats how it feels to me at tghe moment anyway. I-tunes is a rip off anyway, i really cant understand why bother with it so much.Originally Posted by TiG
I hardly think you can blame Apple entirely for this.
It's part of the deal that they have with the major record labels to keep them and the RIAA happy. You can't stream bought music, whether with an Xbox 360 or with a Slimserver.
Once the record industry realises that we aren't all theives, then maybe things will improve.

Yes, quite right. It's the RIAA that have really put a spanner in the works. I should have put them at the top of my list. Oops.
