Backwards Compatibility : Battlefield 2 - 360

What a load of tripe!

The game isn't backwards compatible. Bah! Perhaps it will change, but for a game that is new to Xbox this is very suprising.

I was going to trade my old Xbox but I'm glad I didn't now.

The thing is, the game was listed as being backwards compatible on some lists and not on others.

Halo 2 is though! Although you will have to download all 9 maps again. I gave up after 5.

Gah, thats just confusing, is it a 360 game that wont play on xbox? (backwards compatible game) or an xbox game that wont play on 360? (backwards compatible console).

edit: I do know before some smart alec pipes up, and a round 1500 posts ftw!

What other games have you for it? And is the whole no hdtv = no benefit thing true? or have you not tried it?

Neither is Burnout Revenge. My theory is they will release a 360 version of the most new and graphically intensive Xbox games. Thus making more money out of us villagers. Or just wait 12 months for it to work while playing on the old Xbox.

I have overcome this small backwards compatable problem by cellotaping my Xbox360 to the Xbox. I call it the "Xbox360xobX"

Battlefield 2 for Xbox does not play in the 360 machine.

damn MS if they are gonna advertise backwards compatability they should make sure the majority of games work imo.

actually, that's why it's not confusing.

the xbox360 backward compatability is being done by sales rank - Barbie™ Horse Adventures™ Wild Horse Rescue™ sold well. BF2 hasn't (yet).

Some of the ones that do work look much nicer on 360 though, Halo 1/2 look better as does Jade Empire.
