Interesting 'excuse' from HMV on 360 shortage

Whilst browsing HMV in Cambridge yesterday, I noticed several signs that explained the reason for their 360 shortage as 'Microsoft having courier problems'.

First I've heard of this! Anyone know if there's any truth in it, or is this just an effort by HMV to absolve themselves of any blame whatsoever? Not that the shortage has ever been their fault - that's what I don't understand!
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I
googled all over her facebook. Ask Jeeves...

I would be surprised if its down to courier problems as surely if this is the case they can just change the couriers they use (also would the couriers mess up such a large account)

I think thats its more down to a shortage with components from the plants, my theory is that the lack of hdd's at the moment is slowing the production of the hard drives as they are in very short in supply at the moment
