Using headphones for audio on Xbox 360 with VGA cable?

Is there anyway way that I can use headphones for audio when using my 360 on my monitor? I don't have a seperate audio system for my PC or TV as I only use headphones on PC as well.

The only drawback of this, is that I would not be able to use the mic? Or would I be able to use my current gaming headset with mic for use over Live?

I use headphones.

I went to maplin and bought an adaptor which plugs the red and white cables into. The other end is a headphone jack. I then bought another adaptor which allows you plug that in and plus your headphone jack in the other end.

Sorry I dont know the technical terms of these adaptors but go to Maplin and they will be able to sort you out.

So can you use you mic as well as getting sound from you headphones? Did you have buy seperate headphones?

I've had a look on the Maplin site, and the only adapter I can with a 3.5 jack see has male connecters on it, and I need one with female.
