    Today I bought....

    A Gameboy Advance SP!

Now, in the past i owned the original Gameboy back in 1990, then a friend gave me his Gameboy colour back in 1997 or so... both of which i got rid of after playing all the games to death.

But this week i discovered the joy that is the Gameboy Advance.

The SP comes with a backlit screen and a rechargable battery, both the things that Gameboys were missing in the past! Excellent..

Then theres the excellent selection of games, including some masterful and original titles but also some Super Nintendo and Megadrive classics reborn again on the GBA....

    I bought:

Legend Of Zelda: Link To The past
    &
    Donkey Kong Country

and I have to say, the gameplay, graphics and sound are all that of the originals and more!

I have to say i'm hooked..

    Ben

Gonna be getting Wings when it's out soon. It was my fave game on the Amiga Hope it's just as good on the GBA.

If you want to play something different then try Advanced Wars (1 or 2). By far and away my favourite game on the GBA - as fun as all the old SNES/Amiga games are, it's nice to play something original.

My next purchase is Advanced Wars 2...

Also i will get Desert Strike if i can find it!

I find it comfortable to use and i much prefer the style of it to the old Gameboys... But i have fairly small hands... I suspect that if you have large hands, you'd need to get the "grip" available from various places that makes it more comfortable for those with larger hands.

heh i bought one off someone on the forums for my brother (he's 9 btw ), and he's dead chuffed with it, tho he only plays pokemon on it if i were to get a handheld i think i would get one of the GP32 thingies, so you can play loads of different games as it can emulate various platforms

only due to the fact that you can play infinitely (well not quite) more games than on a GBA SP, tho saying that, i did have some fun playing doom on my bros gameboy.. the other advantage of the gp32, is that many people code their own games (as its opensource), which means you can try games for free rather than spending £15+ on a gba game
