    NFS Undergorund Rant

A list of things that ake want to put my head though the screen,

1, HOW THE HELL DOES A 206 KEEP UP WITH A ****ING SKYLINE
2, Stupid speedy up bit when going through tight sections or tunnels. I know this is supposed to simulate the feeling of speed however, in real life the handling of the car does not become 10 times more sensative causing you to smash into wall/car
3, Idiot drivers, to be perfectly honest if i saw a skyline screaming towards me at 150mph id atleast TRY and get out its way, i would not continue to either carry on driving head on towards it slow down!
4, Cheating Opponents, why oh why do we still have to put up with cheating opponents, from what i can tell they have unlimited nitros, act as a team to take you out and mirraculously avoid cars around blind corners, youd have thought that after about 10 NFS games they would have more convincing AI.
5, WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE TO SIT THROUGH HOURS AND HOURS OF IDENTICAL RACES TO BUY DECENT PARTS FOR MY CAR!!!
6, why dont it run properly on my radeon 8500 (dont say coz its not a good card lol)
7, Why is their tunnels with unprotected concrete pillars in the center, i cant ever recall seeing this seems to me like a bloody stupid idea to me

Appart from these things the game is pretty good, glad i only rented it for a few days rather than bought it though.

4, what do you expect, because its the same when you are behind them - its called catchup, it makes racing games interesting, otherwise if you stuff it into a wall you'd never catch up if it was played properly.

Infact it sounds like you want a real racing game, what IL2 FB is for the flight sim community.

If that is the case I guess you would be sorely disappointed with NFS underground.

Its an arcade game not a simulation.

i know that its an arcade game, its not so much them catching up that annoys me its how you can be 3 - 4 seconds ahead with the finish line in view and the next thing you know youve got a crappy Dodge Neon screaming past you at 200mph to win.

on a drag race, the AI crash just as much as me if a car gets in the way.

but as people have said, its an excellent arcade racer.

1, It's the neons and decals adding 400bhp to the 206. Yeah a little bit of realism with the cars would have been nice..
2, Stupid but not really that noticable.
3, Yeah, there are only a few different models too; you drive past the same cars over and over again. But its not a sim game I guess.
4, They're not that bad, but the AI does seem very formulaic to me.
5, Cos you aint too good at racing games? /joking!
    6, Dunno
7, Lots of bridges have them, they just arent meant to be driven through at 200mph that's all.

If you want an arcade racer, get Burnout 2. Out on budget and far superior, imo.

I quite like it. Just started playing it and it's great fun at the moment.

Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
