    Xbox 360 vs HDTV Resolution?

Just wondering seeing as I don't know much about HDTV..

What setting is best to run my Xbox 360 under, 420p, 720p or 1080i?

I understand from google that 720p is 60fps and 1080i is 30fps? or something like that, is that the only difference?

Overall I'd like to know what is the best setting to use for quality etc.

    Thanks

You got a 1080i TV then? Or are you using a big monitor? If so which one?

It doesn't really matter in that case. No 360 games currently support 1080i, they upscale it. So use 720p or 1080i, will probably not make much difference (just means either the 360 upscales it or the TV does).

I thought they supported 1080i but not 1080p as yet?

Oh my mistake, that's something all together different
though I am reading that some games do support 1080i, Need For Speed Most Wanted for example.

I would go with 720p if the max true res is that. keep the upscaling/downscaling to a minimum.

Yep, I would go for 720p. My TV can support both 720p and 1080i and it looks far better with 720p. It's a personal opinion though. Try both and see what you prefer. There's no harm and the game's speed won't be affected.
