dark messiah... Buggiest game ever?

bought dark messiah yesterday and tho the game itself seems to be pretty good...

it WILL not stop crashing in a myriad of different ways.

my computer is pretty stable and has never crashed in any of the recent games i bought, CoH, oblivion, FEAR, or any source engine games like hl2, css, or dods.

It wont even run load at all in 1280x1024!

anyone else having problems?

running on a 7900gt by the way, and no it hasnt died yet, because it runs everything else perfectly...

I've not had any problems at all with it, working perfectly fine apart from the very occasional graphical glitch (and only very small ones at that).

Mines on a 7800GTX though, but it's going fine on max settings at 1280x1024.

i suffered that too.......i'm sure it's a sound card issue.

Milesfast sound is a right old drain on most systems.

It crashed on me three times in the first 15 mniutes too.....walking on horse back to the gates, trying to make it through the gates and then fighting the big old trolly thing with the ballista.

Shame.

Also...I found the training quite......cheesey! The blokes voice was doing my head in.

Hmm well, out of interest, did any of you guys try the demo? I did and didn't suffer any problems, just wondering if this is the case with you too, and the issue has only come about in the final version?

No issues with demo or release version @ 1680x1050

I vote Gothic 3 as buggiest recent game...so much potential not play tested and left unbalanced

When I tried the Demo out, seemed fine. But completely different set up here.

lol I wouldn't go that far at all, BF2 and 2142 are a complete mess.

Sounds like a cheap PCI soundcard like cheap audigy would solve your problems.

There are lots of bad reviews for DM out right now and I can't quite figure out why. I think the reviewers were expecting something like Oblivion, I would call this an FPS more than an RPG, give this game to an open minded reviewer who likes both FPSes and RPGs and I'm sure it'll get a fantastic score.

It's an awesome game so far, PFFFFFT @ Oblivion after playing this spectacularly crafted wonder piece ^^

For me it randomly crashes to the desktop or when you get the loading block in the middle of the screen (just after the Ballista bit - level 1) it locks up with a windows mouse pointer.

When this happens I have to hard reset the system to get back into it.

I never had any probs at all with the demo though.

I have a Soundblaster Live 5.1 and have the KX audio drivers for it, had to put those drivers on as Scarface had no sound at all. Also got the latest official Nvidia drivers installed.

Seems quite strange the different problems including myself are having.

I've got the Geforce FX problem, it won't show any of the cut scenes or the logo intros at the loading up of the game. Don't care about the loadingup issue but the cut scenes make me feel like I'm missing out on half the game. Hope they intend to bring out a patch for the geforce fxs considering their official site said those cards were supported. I wouldn't have bought the game if I knew that they weren't.
