Is Doom 3 going to be an X-Box exclusive title after all?
I would hate upgrading just for that bagger, just to find out I have to buy an X-Box also!
The long time it’s been on development has dropped the hype and I don’t think people care about it as much.
Unreal 2 for example, even though I was a fan of the original, kind of disappointed me with cheap story line, which the strongest factor of the original.
Unreal 1 felt like a movie, but as for Unreal 2, well... it was a novel!

Doom 3 xbox exclusive? Uh no, itll be PC only more than likely as it requires DX9 and Carmack is an avid PC supporter.

It will be on Xbox AND PC.... but as Bindi said Carmack has been using and programming for PCs for too long to fall into the Xbox only trap...

oh and just think..

Doom 3 without Mouse support.... lol

Yeah, but it will be like all the other sucky no-skill console games - AUTOAIM - It's like bloody aimbot or something, requires no skill and just sucks.

I'm guessing the reason games take so long nowerdays is the fact we have to wait for it to be written for the XBox too..... and the PS2...... and the GameCube........ and the GameBoy Advance....... and the.. etc etc.

yep.... but think about it this way. all the people buying it for consoles are funding the games of tomorrow. They spend the cash because there are more of them.

but FPS should never be botched to consoles. Playing without a mouse sucks. Also GTA :Vice City is too bloody easy on the psx because of the auto aim.

A Pc for me is the only way to play.

- changed my mind about the game. Didnt think it was gonna to good until i played that

as for it being on X-box.....i doubt it. But if it does it'll be crap, so im not really bothered.

I just got me the January copy of PC Zone mag, and it's all over the front cover of that. There's a movie on the DVD with it as well, so I'd imagine it's definitely for PC.

from what ive seen (and played) of doom3, its not going to be a game needing much skill, i think they intend it to be VERY scary so its sorta ideal for console but it should be good on pc aswell. if its scary i hope it has some kind of story and a good one, as it will be rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe if its just like the original doom + scary. the gfx are great though

What frustrates me is people think that what was unofficially released will relate to the final product.

IT WAS PRE-ALPHA you CANNOT take that as the final thing, so i dont know why people even bother discussing it.

That must suck then as every single person I have seen has though the game will be awsome because of the Alpha leak....

Well the game could turn out to be worse than the alpha leak. Unlikely but it COULD happen that way.

Would you judge a 20% cooked meal before it was finished, these veg are carp so no doubt the hunk of sirloin still cooking will be useless to... i dont think so
