Lots of Xbox 360 Questions

Im looking at buying an xbox 360 and have a few questions about them:

- Can I add an external HDD and use it write my save ganes to? I dont care if I have to mod it
- What is this "Xtreme" version I keep seeing advertised on eBay?
- Wheres the cheapest place to get one from? Links?
- Are there any worthwhile mods out there?

Any info is good, coz i havent had a console for 13 years!!!!

Gamestation/blockbuster and HMV have both v. resently had some good deals (dont know if they are still doing them)

If you are thinking along the lines of mods to run unsigned/homebrew code then there aren't any. The 360 has security on many levels - and some in silicon - and hasn't been broken.

I really think that the main enjoyment of the 360 is multiplayer on Live, and like the previous xbox Microsoft will ban machines that are modded from Xbox Live. The latest dashboard update also stops 360's starting up if it can detect any dvd drive firmware mod.

Thanks. By mods in my original post, i meant stuff like adding hard drives and things of that nature.

The main reason for me getting an xbox is the play over live, so theres no way id consider modding the drive firmware etc

No but there is a solution from Datel in the form of the XSATA though it's far from perfect (it doesn't fit perfectly, and if you turn on your PC link you are locked out from the HD on the 360) but it dose d the job.
