Has anybody experienced this?
Finally got a Wii yesterday and it's great.. but..
Trying to play Zelda and it makes a constant high-pitched whistling noise (can only assume it's the disc drive making it)? It's loud and annoying enough to stop me from playing Zelda(and thus have only spent about 10minutes tops in the game).
Some light shaking of the console seems to stop it, but only for a couple of seconds then it'll kick up again.
No noise when there isn't a disc in, when Wii Play or Wii Sports are inserted it makes a brief (1/2second) whistle of the same pitch, but then stops (and doesn't reoccur during game play).
Is it likely to be the disc, or the Wii itself? Gah I am unlucky enough to get a dodgy Wiiwon't be able to get it replaced until Game have plenty of stock I bet.
