    Indoor Antenna Recommendations?

    Hey Guys,
I bought this TV tuner a little while back, and it works fine when I connect it to the aerial on the roof.

However, when I use the bundled aerial, I get no reception whatsoever. I cannot use the aerial on the roof unfortunately, and therefore need to buy myself an indoor aerial. I have no idea what to get, though, and was wondering if someone could give me some advice on which aerial is the best to get.

This one seems quite good, but any other suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm also unsure as to whether the above antenna is compatible with the TV tuner I have, as it is DVB.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Try getting one locally from Maplin, if it doesn't work change it until you find one that does. Better than buying blind from eBay.

    I bought a Philips TT750, like this one :

It was for my Freeview card, and it did a much better job getting channels straight off than the bundled card, but couldnt find a fair number of channels without a lot of fiddle. I live in a boxroom so signals weren't the best.

To make sure it wasn't a defective product though, I took it to my mate's (who lives in a basement flat) and it worked almost as good as his rooftop aerial without any fidget.

In the end, I bought a 10m RF extension and tried different places near the window with the Philips and number of scanned channels increased loads.

Whats surprising is that I've dug out an old indoors antenna which works even better than the Philips, and this antenna predates Freeview by quite a mile!

Maybe get an RF extension and a few wire coat hangers? Or buy my philips tt750

The attenuation of the signal once you use an indoor aerial can be pretty bad, which can be a real pain for Freeview signals, so it often boils down to the signal strength in your area, and luck. A decent antenna will help though.
